I was going to write about our struggles with quarantine paired with our blessings, but it didn't seem right with these self-portraits with my family. Then I was going to write about the paradox that is motherhood-how it is the hardest thing I've ever done, but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. But again, it didn't feel right. Because all I think about when I look at these pictures is how deeply I love my family and how very very blessed we are to have each other. All the hard parts fall away, at least for a moment, and all that is left is love. I think that's what draws me to photography. The thought that I can give this moment of clarity and love to another human being.
