Ember is out of the basket this month because she is getting too mobile, and I didn't have anyone to spot her while she was in the basket. Super loving those chubby legs though!
Six Months Old
Her sisters wanted to be a part of her monthly mini session. So. Much. Love.
Seven Months Old
You know those pinterest pictures that have the baby in the same place every month of their first year of life? When i started Ember's year-long session this is what I had planned on doing with the basket, and while I like it in ways, I've realized that having her in the basket shows how she looks but not who she is. When she was younger and I took pictures in the basket, I felt it also showed what she could do and who she was, but as she gets bigger that isn't the case anymore. Like when she started grabbing her toes a few months ago or stretching so hard trying to get something because she couldn't scoot yet. Right now she is so proud of herself because she can pull herself up to standing and because of that this picture of her standing up my fireplace speaks so much more to my heart than a picture in the basket.
Eight Months Old
She's in the basket this time but out of the house! The basket may have gotten a little muddy, and Ember may have eaten a leaf or two (I was repeatedly pulling them out of her mouth), but it was worth it to remember these moments. There are a lot of pictures this month because I just couldn't make myself cut it down to one or two!
